There are tons of great youth soccer camps available each summer. But which one is the best? We’re a little biased, but there is a lot of proof supporting the fact that Revolution Soccer Camps are the industry standard.

Since 2001, our company has welcomed 100,000-plus youth athletes to one of our many youth sports camps. So, we’ve been doing this for a long time and know what it takes to create a terrific all-around experience that’ll make players want to come back every year.

That starts with having a top-notch staff dedicated to the game and the players they work with. We bring in some of the game’s most respected coaches (college, high school, and travel/club) and college players to impart their wisdom and passion for soccer to our campers.

We empower camp directors to bring their proven programs and training techniques to each camp, making each location a unique experience within the general curriculum that is promised. Regardless of the camp format you attend, our daily skill breakdown is as follows:

  • Footwork & Ball Control
    • Dynamic Warm-up
    • Agility & Ball Control
  • Technical Skills Training
    • Shooting, Passing & First Touch
  • Tactical Skill Training
    • Focus on Field Awareness & Position-Specific Training
  • Game-Based Learning
    • Competition: Small-Sided Games & Camp Scrimmages

As you can see below, there are four different camp formats available at our various locations around the country: half-day, full-day, extended-day, and overnight youth soccer camps. What are some of the basic differences between these offerings? That’s what we’ll be covering below.

Half-Day Youth Soccer Camps

Half-day soccer camps will typically run from 9 a.m. to noon at locations where it is offered. Our camps are open to players of all ages and abilities, but half-day camps are most common for our younger campers (ages 6-9). Here’s what a typical schedule could look like:

  • 8:45: Arrival
  • 9:00: Daily Theme Workshop
  • 9:30-10:30: Technical Skills & Position Training
  • 10:30-12:00: Small-sided games
  • 12:00: Half-day campers depart

Full-Day Soccer Camps

When it comes to campers who select the full-day option, they participate in everything noted in the half-day camp section, plus a little more. Their day will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. As half-day campers depart for the day, our full-day campers will get a break for lunch. Here’s what the afternoon looks like for them:

  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch
  • 1:00-2:00: Tactical Skills Training & Field Awareness
  • 2:00-3:00: Full-Field Games & Man-up/Man-Down
  • 3:00: Full-day campers depart

Extended Day Youth Soccer Camps

As you can see, the schedule keeps progressing as we move down this list. Extended-day campers participate in everything that’s listed as half-day and full-day campers. They also spend the majority of their afternoon/evening with us, too. The day runs from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Here’s what a typical schedule could include:

  • 8:45: Arrival
  • 9:00: Daily Theme Workshop
  • 9:30-11:30: Tactical Skills & Position Training
  • 11:30-12:00: Cool Down and Extra Help
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch
  • 1:00-2:00: Spike Ball, Frisbee, and Recess Games
  • 2:30-4:30: Small-Sided Game/Strategy and Game Concept Training
  • 4:30-5:30: Extra Help and Talent Show Practice/Scavenger Hunt/Dorm Games
  • 5:00-6:00: Dinner
  • 6:00-6:45: Mandatory Rest
  • 6:45-8:30: Soccer Scrimmages/Team-Based Drills
  • 8:30: Extended-Day campers depart

Overnight Soccer Camps

Last, but not least is the overnight youth soccer camp schedule. Overnight campers will check in at noon on the first day of camp and then stay with us for four days and three nights before heading home. The day from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. mirrors that of extended-day campers. It also includes a 7 a.m. wakeup and 7:30 a.m. breakfast beforehand.

Once commuters leave at 8:30 p.m., here’s what overnight campers can look forward to:

  • 8:30-9:30: Optional Play the Coaches and Showers
  • 9:30-10:30: Dorm Games and Socializing/Evening Meetings
  • 10:30: Lights out
