Revolution Soccer Camp is open to kids & teens ages 5 to 18. Campers will be grouped based on age and ability levels. Portions of the camp will be co-ed.

OVERVIEW

The Vine Street Recreation Fields are part of a beautiful athletic complex used for Club Sports, Intramurals, and recreation at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. We’re excited to host the Revolution Soccer Camps at University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Join us and improve your soccer skills this summer!

Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. Each camper will be assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels. Adjustments to the groups may be made throughout the week to provide campers with opportunities to train with and compete against different players. Drills, games, and matches are designed to help each camper learn, improve, and have fun!

Coach Evans Francis is the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Lincoln Northwest High School where he has been honored with the Foundation of Lincoln Inspire Award.

Coach Francis also has experience coaching at Lincoln Northeast High School and the 402 Developmental Academy.  

Francis was a 3-sport athlete (Soccer, Football, and Basketball) at Lincoln North Star High School.  In Soccer, Francis was a 3-year Varsity starter at the forward and attacking midfielder positions.  As Team Captain, Francis led his team to its first state tournament appearance in school history. They would return again a couple years later. 

Francis played NJCAA Division 1 Soccer at Iowa Central Community College.  His teams were nationally ranked each year, earning their way to as high as #4 in the country.  Francis continued his playing career at York University on an athletic scholarship.  He served as Team Captain and was named the NAIA/KCAC Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.  Francis also competed on the Track team where he became an All-American in the 200 and 4×100 meter relay team.  Francis was awarded the C3 (Character, Consistency, and Competence) award in both Soccer and Track.

After earning his degree in Business Administration & Management with an emphasis in Sports Management, Francis competed for a couple of years for the Omaha City FC Semi-Pro Indoor Soccer Team.  Francis founded Kick It Kamp, a soccer-based non-profit organization designed and dedicated to providing kids with soccer opportunities.

Coach Francis is excited to share his experience and passion for the sport at the Revolution Soccer Camps.

What to Expect

At Revolution Soccer Camps you’ll receive individualized soccer training through a superior curriculum regardless your age or ability level. We want young soccer players to improve in every aspect of their game; our camps put a focus on individual skill development while incorporating drills and matches to emphasize teamwork.

Features of our soccer staff include: Low camper-to-coach ratios; Groups based off of age & ability level; Fun, energetic, & experienced staff.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Overnight Campers: Check in at 12PM-1PM Sunday. Campers should be picked up at 4PM Wednesday.

Extended Day Campers: Check in at 12PM-1PM Sunday (9AM every other day). Campers should be picked up at 8:30PM Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and at 4PM Wednesday. (Lunch and dinner are included)

Make sure campers bring all necessary soccer equipment (shin guards, cleats, shoes, ball, etc.), a refillable water bottle, and sunscreen.

What to Bring to Camp

Below is a suggested list of items to bring to camp. We suggest that campers do not bring expensive personal items such as cameras, iPods/iPads, etc. Cell phones are allowed in the dorms and dining areas, but not on the field during training sessions. Please label every article you bring to camp. All items will be the responsibility of the camper. Revolution Soccer and its camp staff are not responsible for lost, stolen or forgotten items.
