Camp Dates

December 27th – 29th, 2022

Day Camp – $269 (9am-4pm)

Open to boys from the ages of 5-18 (**Portions of the camp will be co-ed**)

Yaron Intramural Field consists of five playing fields located near the Herbert Wellness Center on the beautiful University of Miami campus. We’re excited to host the Revolution Soccer Camps at University of Miami. Join us and have fun while improving your soccer skills!

Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. Each camper will be assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels. Adjustments to the groups may be made throughout the week to provide campers with opportunities to train with and compete against different players. Drills, games, and scrimmages are designed to help each camper learn, improve, and have fun!

Camp Director

Jake Castro
Jake CastroDirector of the Juniors Program at USL Side Miami FC Academy

Coach Jake Castro is the Director of the Juniors Program at USL Side Miami FC Academy.  He is also USL Academy Assistant Coach, Club Head Coach, and Goalkeeper Coach.  Coach Castro holds his USSF National C-License and his UEFA FA Wales C Certificate.

Prior to Miami, Coach Castro was an Assistant Coach at his alma mater, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and the Head of Goalkeeping at Semi-Pro Side Fall River FC.  He has also served as a Head Coach, Goalkeeper Coach, and Juventus Futures coach at Juventus Academy Boston where he led training sessions for recreational and elite programs in the New England area.  Castro has also worked with Bolts South Regional, Global Premier Soccer, and Bruno United FC.

While playing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Castro earned 5 LEC Goalkeeper of the Week awards, one LEC Conference Team honor, and was named NCAA DIII National Player of the Week.  During his time playing for Global Premier Soccer’s NPL team, his team won 5 State titles, 4 Regional titles, and a National Championship in 5 years.  Castro also spent time in the US Development Academy with FC Boston Bolts.  

Coach Castro is a lifelong learner.  In addition to working towards his USSF B-License, Castro has spent time learning the game under the guidance of Eric Steel, ex-Manchester United Goalkeeping Coach in the GK Nexus Mentor Program, as well as Franklin Pierce Head Coach Ruben Resendes at the Resendes Soccer Academy.  Coach Castro is looking forward to the Revolution Soccer Camps!

Each camper will;

  • receive a Revolution Soccer Camp Reversible
  • develop their technical skills and tactical knowledge
  • participate in camp games with a chance to win prizes
  • compete amongst their peers in small sided games and camp scrimmages
  • be given the opportunity to work with college coaches and players all week long!
  • most importantly, HAVE FUN

Daily Schedule
8:45 – Commuters Arrive
9:00 – Daily Theme Workshop
9:30 – 10:30 Technical Skills & Position Training
10:30am – 12:00pm – Small sided games
12:00pm- Lunch (Half day campers depart)
1:00pm-2:00pm – Tactical Skills Training & Field Awareness
2:00pm-4:00pm – Full Field Games & Man up/Man Down
4:00pm – Campers Depart from Field

Below is a suggested list of items to bring to camp. We suggest that campers do not bring expensive personal items such as cell phones or IPods. Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to camp to contact their guardians but they should not be on the field during training sessions. Please label every article you bring to camp. All items will be the responsibility of the camper. Revolution Soccer and its camp staff are not responsible for lost, stolen or forgotten items.

  • On-Field Clothes (Athletic Socks, T-Shirts, Shorts, Sweatshirts, etc)

Full Day Campers: Check in at 8:45AM Tuesday (9AM every other day). Campers should be picked up at 4PM each day. (Bring a bagged lunch). Last day of camp is Thursday, December 29, 2022. Make sure campers bring all necessary soccer equipment (shin guards, cleats, shoes, ball, etc.), a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, lunch and snack.
